On my right, we have Hammer, All Stars’ champion and legend in the ring, trained by Mario. And on my left, let me present Rolph, the GHEIST’S genetically modified, monstrous boxer. And finally in the centre, and Montana to his very core, is Prince Jr, the city's most dishonest and corrupt fight organizer. Things are certainly hotting up in here!
All these characters are now available from the Shop’s Action, Cool Attitude, Danger and New Blood Packs.
Lamar is still better because the Constant Stop opp bonus, as opposed to the Courage(on/off state) +2 damage(which basically means +1 or -1 from Lamar's 8 Damage)
Lamar is amazing... no question(though for the longest time i didn't like him(thought for some reason he only had 4 power)
(I still like Pino... and i'll never understand why people dislike him so much.
Pino has 6 power for a 2 star card, which is pretty good, and the -12 op attack min 8 helps a lot.
I guess people just don't like the low damage factor.(maybe we should change Pino to be an 8/2...( Yarr)
Rolph is pretty good, More 5 stars for Gheist( a good replacement for Miss Twice)
These new cards will make All stars, and Gheist very powerful in he Type two Environment.
Here is my review of the new cards. I am sad that my dream of having a Filipino as a card in UR might end here, they have added some boxers but no Manny Pacquiao But I still love the new cards, will they change the current standard? It is for us players to decide if we want to add them in our decks or not.
First on my list is Prince Jr. Montana started the year with a bang. Montana has always been deprived of good filler but with the arrival of new Montana cards since last year the clan is really getting. Prince Jr is a two star that this clan can definitely use, sure Pino is usable and on my book is not a bad two star but Prince Jr is slightly better. Stat wise he is a 5/3 which is average for a two star but with his ability of -2 power min 4, if I am correct, give him quite an edge. With his bonus activated any card that will be down 4 power needs at least 3 pills of investment to overcome this dirty fight organizer. Just be sure to invest some pills on him as well.
2007 was a great year for Gheist, they have been given quite a lot of good cards and 2008 might just be better with the addition of Rolph. As a five star card his stats of 7/6 ain't that great because there are other cards who have lesser star who has similar of better stats. But with his ability of -2 power min 4, if I am correct again sure add more power to his punches. I won't say he is better than XU52 but he is definitely a great replacement for Miss Twice.
All Star in my opinion didn’t get anything ground breaking but their two new recruit are still good. First off is Hammer, stat wise a 6/7 for a five star just doesn’t make the cut, but again if both bonus and ability active he is a virtual 8/9 and with Timber he can do one hit KO something I believe only Fang Pi and Junta have been able to do. But is he the real deal? With Lamar not getting banned yet or becoming a CR for those people who don’t have him yet, I don’t see any good reason to use Hammer instead of Lamar. And to add more with All Star good 4 star choices it is hard to put him instead of Striker or Marina. Hammer is not a bad card he is just outclassed by other cards in the clan.
Mario on the other hand is different sure he doesn’t have any ability and in All Star 2 star department Flo and Ashley have already been doing a great job. Why would you add Mario? Simple All Star doesn’t have much in the 3 star spot. Lewis is just boring; Amelia and Bhudd are just unreliable. Being a 6/3 he is just 1 power shy of being a Lewis clone. And for that reason them with Mario will also free up some stars to add another high-level card in your deck.
Happy New Year to everyone and GG always.
