Imperator - Casual Grind
So, since the big ELO discussion brought up the fact that way too many cards in the game never see play because nothing quite measures up to the staples, I'd love to have an "underused card appreciation thread". There are cards out there that you just put into your deck for missions or whatever reason and they won you more matches than any staple and have a special place in your heart.
For me there's a number of them:
1) Baby Q, 4* 6/6 SoB with -2/min 1 DR. You will aways, and I mean always see Ditha, Malicia or even the very underused 7 powered 4* girls and simply not put Baby Q into your deck.
What are you missing on? 6 damage for one pill, or someboy overpilling on a Sob Dr. LOL. Also, likely no freaks poison, lol.
2) Cheep - 8/2 +2 life bonus, stop: -3 dam/ min 1. Well, stop cards are vanilla cards most of the time, and this guy is bonus dependent to boot.
What are you missing on? A bloody annoying 8/4 wall which makes SoA pointless because what SoA means most of the time is no DR. He makes people play stupid - heck, you can actually pill against their SoA and win for ALL damage reduced, making a 4 gap and turning your hand into a 3 rond win one.
Gork - 7/8 SoA bonus with poison self for 2 min/4. XU52 has att manip, Mechakolos is a 1 hit KO. Otherwise people just don't use him enough.
What are you missin out on? Pretty much a bloody honey badger who doesn't give a f**k. Unconditiona 7/8 with SoA? Otherwise he kicks ass.

Triple post but I also need to mention that this makes an excellent bluff! Laying down a powerful card with Ambre's ability makes the opponent overpill... and if they don't, they'll probably still lose and they're attack manip.

Yeah, this says overlooked, not completely obvious and overused

Yes, well, it's kind of hard to imagine Ambre as being overlooked, but what I've had fun with is sort of overlooked - using her with high-power/high utility clans like piranas or even Ulu Watu (or all stars). I don't see this done often beceuse Amber is mostly banned everywhere (and for good reason tbh), but there's really silly stuff you can do with it.

What Six Nations said.
Also, what do you mean the Ulu Watu have no synergy with Morphun? The whole point of the damn clan is to pump out more attack per pills than your opponent, and Morphun gives them more pills to aid them in high-pill rounds. Eklore doesn't have much synergy, true, but that's because she's there to make attack manipulation (one of the clan's weak spots) more effective.
Also also, your evaluation of Ashigaru is wrong. The point of Ashigaru isn't to get Naliah out early (and she isn't a card you typically want to get out early, either), but instead to guarantee that for 3 out of 4 rounds you know what card your opponent is playing and your opponent only knows what you're playing half the time. And given the fact that the Ulu Watu doesn't have a high margin of error because of their lack of attack/pill manip and defeat abilities, he can be very handy. That reason can apply to Morphun as well, actually.
Also cubed, the Ulu Watu don't have any above-average DRs. The three you mentioned are major bricks with a minor in forking.

Wait a minute TSO, Naliah isn't the only card with Reprisal; Shaun is too, and he's pretty damn good.

Buckler, T Gaank, Treeman, and Gerald are all underrated cards (according to their price)
Buckler and T Gaank kill it in ELO. T Gaank is often overlooked by Dagg and X-0Dus, but T Gaank is probably your safest bet to win a round and induce damage. Dagg works, but is susceptible to DR. X-0Dus is situational with no manipulation otherwise. An 8/5 card that can only be hindered by Platinum or Yookie? Good luck seeing Platinum, and good luck facing Yookie all that often with Mono-Sentinel decks ruling ELO and DT.
Treeman isn't respected in ELO. How is z3r0-D43d considered that much better than Treeman? Both are only effected by all-stops or Roots/Gheist cards, both are 2* 7/1 cards if they are hit by SOA from Gheist or Roots. Treeman isn't effected by Pussycats either; yet, z3r0-d34d is worth 9k compared to Treeman at 800?
If your argument is that Flora is better than Treeman (and that's why he's cheap) then you are a lazy player. Flora is certainly not a better card, it's just easier to win your match/rounds with defeat cards compared to, you know, actually winning the round.
Gerald is a great 3* filler for any beginner. I personally prefer Radek over Gerald as my 3* card that's cheap, but Gerald is just as good to put in your deck if you're looking to spend under 500 clintz per card.

Master - knights of oblivion
The difference between Treeman and Zero-Dead is really cause of the clans they are in. Also that argument isn't sound, if it's easier to win cause the ability basically works as DR, then it's actually better. But really most people already just stick a card like Miken Moose already and they really need a DR so they stick in Flora. Supposing most 25 star decks have 2 2s.
Meanwhile, Zero Dead has no real competition. You have Arkn, often banned, and Zero Dead. The only other two that are seen are Balrog/Wurmhol, Mok and Platinum. Balrog is okay, but he's courage based. Wurmhol being defeat based and only 1damage. Mok is revenge based and Platinum only has 4 base power.

And Treeman is a poor man's Brody.
