Imperator - Casual Grind
So, since the big ELO discussion brought up the fact that way too many cards in the game never see play because nothing quite measures up to the staples, I'd love to have an "underused card appreciation thread". There are cards out there that you just put into your deck for missions or whatever reason and they won you more matches than any staple and have a special place in your heart.
For me there's a number of them:
1) Baby Q, 4* 6/6 SoB with -2/min 1 DR. You will aways, and I mean always see Ditha, Malicia or even the very underused 7 powered 4* girls and simply not put Baby Q into your deck.
What are you missing on? 6 damage for one pill, or someboy overpilling on a Sob Dr. LOL. Also, likely no freaks poison, lol.
2) Cheep - 8/2 +2 life bonus, stop: -3 dam/ min 1. Well, stop cards are vanilla cards most of the time, and this guy is bonus dependent to boot.
What are you missing on? A bloody annoying 8/4 wall which makes SoA pointless because what SoA means most of the time is no DR. He makes people play stupid - heck, you can actually pill against their SoA and win for ALL damage reduced, making a 4 gap and turning your hand into a 3 rond win one.
Gork - 7/8 SoA bonus with poison self for 2 min/4. XU52 has att manip, Mechakolos is a 1 hit KO. Otherwise people just don't use him enough.
What are you missin out on? Pretty much a bloody honey badger who doesn't give a f**k. Unconditiona 7/8 with SoA? Otherwise he kicks ass.

Loretta comes to mind, I almost prefer her over Jessie. Almost.
But at 7/1, she has good base stats and a solid ability.

No clue what her general reception has been, but I've been having a good time with Tomoe so far.

Master
Ashigaru.
He's the strongest leader. He gives you control over three rounds in a match and if you don't draw him, you still likely have that control due to having lower stars than the opponent (since you didn't draw your 5*). So you decide who goes against who in three out of four rounds while having a 8/6 powerhouse in your hand. Having that advantage in third and fourth rounds is usually crucial to winning a match.
And he's not even ELO banned.
I do not understand why Ashigaru is not used much. His ability is way more valuable than whatever other leaders offer

Ashigaru just feeds Ambre decks and he's only useful in top heavy decks. If you hate going first all the time then keep your deck under 30*.

If you want to bring up overlooked leaders then let's talk about Timber. That guy scares me! If new players knew how to use him, we'd all be in trouble.
7 damage and +1 damage to all else. You screw up once against Timber and you will most likely lose.

Sure, Ashigaru sorta feeds Ambre decks but it's not like Ambre isn't prevalent anyway nor is she going to lead her decks to the promised land like all the nublets believe. She only really works in the stacked T2 decks and even then she's merely the icing on the cake.
In leaders in general, I can certainly see the appeal but there's no way I'm giving up a nuke for a card that is more often than not an underpowered hole in my hand.

Bullcrap. Ashigaru + Frozn. Try it. ORRRR try him in a Pussycat deck so you activate Jayzel's/Nabrissa's Revenge and Samia's Reprisal.

Another overlooked Leader is Vholt. Him+Pussycats and Sakrohm. Or just Pussycats. Or just Sakrohm. Even Huracan to protect your life with Spiaghi.
