"If extra: the player is KO’d, then add point(s) with life points, (1 pts) to player with a min/max of 5pts"
This rule is useless, in fact if you're KO'd you have no life points left.
In fact the rule should be :
If extra: the "OPPONENT" is KO’d, then add point(s) with life points, (1 pts) to player with a min/max of 5pts
I guess UR killed 2 birds with 1 stone. N.A. Thanksgiving/Black Friday offered an extended weekend. UR removes Wed event (and useless BP rewards) to offer a bigger Lyse Teria Cr prize to draw players.
Their mistake was raising this to 60 matches when originally it was only 50. I wish UR Staff proof-read before posting because they constantly post incorrect info (or difficult to understand). Players are tired of lack of response & glitches.
But I believe removing Top 500 was also bad decision. Top 1-5 / Top 6-30 (or Top 6-50) / Top 51-150 / Top 500 / Top 1500 / Top 3000 are sufficient incentives to aim for higher ranking (yes I'm aware pts spread among Top 1-150 is very tight).
Look, there will always be Top 3000 players who join for prizes. Well it cost them money to buy cards to qualify!
Then Top 1500 are casual players who play a few hours or miss Top 500 by 5-8pts. That's still effort
Those in Top 500 are players UR should really encourage to play more. They're ones showing potential
Top 60-150 are excellent players (they play Coliseum regularly)
Top 1-30 are usually separated by slim pts differences and they earned those points
I said this often, UR must encourage more players to join regularly. And they should motivate Top 500 players to succeed because that guarantees healthy competition.
Actually, since Coliseum launch I've always complained Top 1-5 prizes are too big! Not quite sure why UR feels the need to hand out Guru Cr / General Cr for a twice a week event...It's even more peculiar that UR started handing out BP as though players value BP as a worthwhile prize.
We'd be happier if UR proof reads announcements & post accurate rules /rant (this weekend's event was frustrating)
But we're talking about Top 500. And recent results show Top 1-5 results are tied pts or separated buy less than 5pts. Then the next 55 are similarly bunched together. Those are good players, no doubt
This event Top 500 was removed and I don't understand. They're telling 1000 players to improve so they can earn 20K but why would 1000 players play 60 matches to fight for 100 spots? It's illogical and waste of time vs. winning ~12 matches, earn 5K and go enjoy real life with friends - we're heading into holiday season.
Entry Top 1500-3000 prizes are fine. Top 500 was good too. Players mentioned they enjoy winning cards, and they don't have to be Spyke & Dorian. It can be a lesser value.
But make this format enjoyable and rewarding. A format that grows and encourages players to aim for higher ranking. I believe increasing 50 matches to 60, and removing Top 500 was a disincentive. It's up to UR to determine what constitutes a healthy level of participation.
I'll tell you 3700 logged in players for a 4 day Coliseum event doesn't scream "Success"
@tgh02, i agree with your point.
why the 20k prize remove already???? why????? can someone tell me why? I play every rounds. finally i get above top 500 but the prize has been remove... i was like "what??" i spent so many time on it, but the prize has been removed.
@ SAS killerbee
Congrats - playing 60 matches and reaching Top 500 required skill & luck for this event. It really was go big or go home - many players played several matches and remained under 10 pts. A player received 0 pts unless they tied or won.
Great for veteran players like us. But very discouraging for new players.
* New players had to go against Ambre and no Commons, not to mention Caelus Cr, and that's quite difficult. But imagine how frustrated they felt playing 11 matches and earning 0 pts. "ha ha they suck,' some may laugh. But if it was you, would you come back to play more? Furthermore it was an expensive event that discouraged low level/poor players. Ambre spiked 10K to 13.5K and vets like us can afford that...toss in a couple Jackie + Herman to be competitive.
How do new players compete or improve in this kind of tournament?
Congrats to Top 150 players. Scoring for this event was tricky and obtaining 250+ pts was difficult, and hitting 400+ pts deserves Lyse Teria Cr
