Having looked at these other new ability/bonus ideas, that are usually gimmicks or overly complicated, I have decided to just spew out my idea. It's simple, based on remaining life.
Comeback: activates when your life is lower than opponent's life.
Assertion/Momentum (Definitely not as good as 'comeback' but sure as hell better than reprisal): activates when your life is greater than opponent's life.
Simple, effective, easy, strategic. No gimmick on time, or affecting future rounds, or anything. It's like confidence/revenge. or +life left. and definitely simpler than poison and heal (i play freaks, so im fine with complicated things), but seriously, this is so simple it should have been obvious. It's better than the Huracan bonus.
This is a pretty good idea.
I wouldn't call it better than reprisal or the Huracan bonus, but it sounds good. Sounds like they could end up competing with confidence and revenge cards most of the time though, which is probably why they haven't done anything like this yet.
I should have clarified when making more contentious comparisons (there is no way that saying this is better than the 'time based ability' is controversial.

i meant the name of the ability, cos reprisal is such a stupid name.
and when i said

i meant that is was simpler and probably should have appeared before the current Huracan bonus, because I think (like the Frozn bonus) the bonuses are too unfavourable for a full deck (though entirely possible). The ability itself is cool
According to the dictionary,reprisal is an act of retaliation,so i guessa the opponent opening the round is like an act of reprisal? I dont know,sounds kinda weird.
And i will disagree with your view on complications regarding this game.I happen to enjoy a game that has a lot of layers to it.
Because,why not be in a match where the opponent is poisoned you're healing,but he's gaining pills and you're losing them
all in the same turn only for there to be a nuke and a damage reducer? But it's a good thing you have protection damage because his power reducer can't reduce damage and you just need to have more pills.
That to me,is a strategical masterpiece.It's not exactly chess,but you aren't playing go fish with a generic deck.
But this idea though.
I like it,it opens up avenues.Can't be used on the first round,but that's alright,everybody has a good opener.anyway.Could see a ghastly increase of life per damage cards though.And why restrict it to life? Why not pills?Everybody's been searching for an excuse to make vortex a relevant clan anyway.
