Actualy i not agree with you XC_Eyes. Of course its evident that this is a copy one of the Heart stone game mode but i try heart stone and this room was the best.
A lot of player complain about that Ur just want to make mony whit this and that (... Of corse thy did no body works for free), and now here is a mode that can'tbe win whit money.
The deck building here has some random factor but as you said you need to "just" choose the best but the best is different for every player to every leader and every style. And after that you need just strategy to win nothing more.
If the card giving rules and balance between the leaders are become better this will be a verry creative and enjoyable game mode.
It can be any one, if only the designers could give some thought about it themselves, not only stealing ideas as they are.
The major concern is, that any draft mode includes 2 skills to play the game - deckbuilding and actual game skill.
So you need to create a situation where the card choice in the draft will be not obvious - but skill dependent.
If you do not - you have same elo, but with even less deck building.
so in rivals draft from Magic the Gathering style works just fine - you open card pack for 4 or 6 or 8 players, any of them, you pick in turns your cards, so your choices affect your opponents, and so you build your deck.
my point is - it should be thoughtful. not jsut taking something raw from the whole other game.
I perfectly understand that current mode fits newbies and non-competitive players quite well.
But as in every MMO - you need also create content for the top-tier hardcore gamers that have seen everything.
you cannot just please newbies and casual players, in order to minimize attrition you need also to honor old ones.
XC_Eyes what can be bigger challenge for even the best players and the bigest tactics than a semirandom deck. Its not a big deal to win with an expensive deck full of the best caracters.
Let me make a note on that little feature that in this game mode the bonuses ar active all the time witch give you an oppotunity that you never has before
I still tink this play mode is promising
