They can be, usually when Mona gets unbanned. A typical Montana half has low damage so they work well with Gheist, FPC, Jungo or any other gapping clan

If Mona is unbaned, they can be played.
Edd Cr, Mona, Spiaghi, Angelo (idk if the New 3* is good) are the Main cards for a half. Desmond and Vermaire and Waller are good support, depending on the week.
But unfortenatly with not much damage. But it can be very defensive.

They have very good 4* (Vermaire, Edd Cr, Donnie, Desmond) and two top 2* (Spiaghi, Angelo). Very good as 5 in a 5/3 split, if you can find the right partner.

There's definitely nothing wrong with Montana in Half or Full Decks.
They have a good bonus, The 4's are pretty nice, the 2's aren't that bad and all around, they have some pretty brutal 3 stars.

Desmond Spiaghi Ivy waller in non mona weeks is great enough
