I just thought I'd start a little petition here for a new Survivor format - Survivor T1
Given the number of AMAZING cards that have now been ELO banned, there are now lots of great cards that frankly never see the light of day. And I'm not even talking about the Big 5 or Graks/Jackie (who get plenty of T2 Survivor play). Think Arno, Jeena, Zatman, Robb Cr. Or heck, look at all our new Crs - all of whom I'm sure are used much more rarely than they should be.
Deathmatch was a fun format to break these out. But I'd love a format that let me brush the dust off of these again that people would really enjoy.
Please post in this message in response if you support this - and spread the word!
I'm for this. People pointing at the Uranus/Graks decks COMPLETELY overlooked that there's an amazing hard-counter to it once ELO gets dropped -- Roots. Roots shuts down the ENTIRE Sakrohm Uranus/Graks/Sigma/Lear/Mokra DR+Poison+Heal half by removing abilities, and cuts through a half deck of Uppers like Jackie Cr by saying "Welcome to Arno, Jackie Cr. You just only did 3 DMG."
Anyone who says this is rubbish with the reason of "only the strongest decks will be played" is using a false argument. Can you name a single environment where people don't gravitate to the strongest decks, or decks that have a chance? ELO has a little wiggle room, but there are arguably much fewer "good decks" than people wish to admit. It'll be the same here, and the same in ANY mode.
In addition, I love how people think we should punish cards like Lyse Teria Cr. Dude, if you've actually made the cash to OWN her, I'd want to play her. T2 is the ONLY option she can actually be played in, and few are going to field her when she's guaranteed to only go against 4* and 5* cards. Give people with those beast cards a place to play them! They bought/got the card, so don't punish them for having it, which it what it feels like to me right now. She's an amazing card with no actual playability, because she's banned from everything but the one place I'll probably never use her.
I'm for this. Bring on the difficulty.
