Please don't make it so there are Nightmare Piranas Rescue weeks, they are really boring

Guru - aussie crusaders
They're different. How would it be any different from the constant Roots and GHEIST SoA weeks that we have now?

Pingerz it would be a lot better if elo was balanced BEFORE the players bans. Player bans add variety and the staff bans shouldnt try to compensate for players regularly banning a card.

Nevermind, once players test out the new meta elvira and campbell are going to keep banned as well

@283
I'm glad I'm not the only who feels like Rescue isn't some unstoppable force and that Campbell and Elvira getting a test run in ELO won't lead to the apocalypse. Like seriously, the whole banning process of ELO has always been one of trial and error. Every single new strong card that was called a ELO-ban worthy card by the majority of players had it's time and if they were really strong, then they got weekly bans by players and rarely got to see the light of day in ELO. Only cards like Noctezuma got especially speedy perma bans.
I get what you're saying Famous Falco about the whole not compensating a staff ban expecting for weekly bans by players, but in my opinion unbanning perma banned cards is actually a good thing. It's hard to strike that balance with just staff bans, otherwise if you wanted it truly balanced, we would just be banning remotely powerful cards and see the same decks week after week. In my opinion, weekly bans are the real balancer in the aspect that certain weeks one clan may be stronger than another, but that same clan may weak the next week due to receiving two weekly bans. It's not like every single player is skilled at playing every single clan. Just because a La Junta deck gets lucky by having strong cards unbanned that week doesn't mean any player can pick up that clan and play well with them. I think having fluctuating strengths week to week between clans is nice because it encourages players to practice to be all around good players.

But seriously, when is any game going to be completely 100% fair? Regulation to that extent will make the game less fun and stunt the evolution of the mode, I'm not yelling to open the floodgates of hell and let our Kiki Cr s and DJ Korr s come back, but I think Rescue deserves a second chance as the intimidation of the clan I feel has always been worse than the actual situation. I'll admit, Rescue is beginner-friendly and having to get over their attack bonus can be a pain, but fighting against any clan requires knowing the playing style of that clan and once you know that, Rescue is hardly as monstrous as what everyone puts them out to be. Like seriously, high pill fights are a huge weakness of the clan, players can use that to their advantage when they play against them. I'm just saying, I've been playing this game for around 4 years now and most of the time, I just hear people say how noobish Rescue is or how unfair it is or how they're so OP. They really aren't.
As for what Chaosdragon said about Rescue being underused, I am curious as to if the staff have an actual way of tracking the use of clans because if so, what he may be saying might not be a conjecture, but rather a fact. So yeah, if there is some system that allows you to do that staff, TELL US! I'm sure other players would want to hear an explanation on how you come up with statements on if a clan is under or overused

@286 wel.. i dont think there is much to sucess coz of clan adherence..
i like mono-rescue and frozn the best,,, but that doesnt mean i dont know to play with another clans
though Lucy is free, there is one thing i like..
atleast cats wont be played much when Yayoi Cr is banned(which is gonna happen very frequent like Rolph/Sera M1 now)
But still.. f*** Leela combinations are possible -_-

Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a couple of minutes to explain our ideas about the current elo bans.
We carefully analyzed the top used cards, the cards you wanted to ban, and we are reading all of your proposals in the forums.
Our main aim is to make every clan playable in ELO, but we also would like to 'change' things a little, allowing players to use cards that have been banned for a long time.
All Stars:
The ban of Marina was necessary to permit the reintroduction of Robb Cr. The AS can replace her with many other cards, and they have other good DR cards to use.
Bangers:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Berzerk:
We actually think the Berzerk are a good and not overpowered clan, but a lot of players asked us the ban of one of their 'defeat cards'. We understand your point of view about asking us to remove the 'mindless' cards from the ELO metagame, and this is why we have decided to ban Clive.
Fang Pi Clang:
Kerozinn Cr is a powerful card, but she is easily repleaceable by many other cards of the clan. We think there is no point in banning her.
Freaks:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Frozn:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
GHEIST:
We don't want to return to the time when the SoA clans ruled the ELO scene with no adversaries. We would like to give GHEIST and Roots different playing strategies and weaknesses. GHEIST will be focused on dealing damages and controlling the pillz, while Roots will be focused on protecting the player life and being 'walls'.
This is why we do not intend to give GHEIST back Bristone, at least not for now, and why we have decided not to ban the DRs of the Roots clan.
Rolph was a card banned by the players many times, and this is why we decided to ban him to get back Dolly Cr.
Toro in our opinion is a card too strong for the GHEIST in the actual metagame. The same applies to Draheera.
Huracan:
The clan right now is a bit underused, and this is why we wanted to restore one of their banned cards. But we agree that El Gascaro, El Divino and Zapatino may result in being too strong for the actual metagame, especially when paired with certain clans. So, we won't restore any card here.
Jungo:
Ongh is a card that can win the matches alone, thanks to his impressive solidity, his high damage output and his strong power modifier. He was banned a lot of weeks. Troompah is too strong to be restored right now, and we think the clan can substitute Ongh quite easily, so we would ban him.
Junkz:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
La Junta:
We think Pilzken and Raven are strong cards indeed, but being forced to mono-clan decks they do not deserve to be banned.
Leader:
We would like to try and reintroduce again the leaders in the elo metagame. For now, we will begin with Vholt and Timber only, to see how that works.
Montana:
The Montana is an underused clan right now. We think reintroducing Oscar can be a good move and won't make them too powerful either.
Nightmare:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Piranas:
For a similar reason as 'GHEIST-Bristone', we would like not to unban Ulrich. The clan has Fischer at their disposal if you need a damage reducer, and can count on really solid cards for every level, together with an astonishing pillz manipulating play.
Parmabarb is a strong card, but is almost the only strong defeat card the clan have, so we think he can stay.
Pussycats:
We think Lucy is an awesome card, almost crucial for his clan. You can use her as an opener, a wall or as a flat DR. But, after having read your comments, we decided not to ban the strongest 2 stars cards of the clans (like lehane, parmabarb or or Cyb Lhia). We will ban Diana and Sera M1 only in order to unban Yayoi Cr.
Rescue:
Rescue is an underused clan, and this is why we would like to unban one of their cards. We decided to restore Elvira and not Lea, because Lea permits players to easily use strong 5 stars cards in the deck, while Elvira require a more balanced deck. Campbell is a really strong card and we are discussing if letting him stay or not. After having read your comments, we think he could stay together with Elvira, but it isn't decided yet.
Riots:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Roots:
In the current metagame, a defeat: + life card is stronger than a common DR in a lot of situations. This is the reason why we decided to swap Arno with Flora.
Sakrohm:
Many players requested the ban of Jautya, considered to be a 'too random' card. We think we can unban Lear Barduh (more solid but less 'win condition card') in order to ban her.
Sentinel:
We thought about the ban of Lehane in order to unban Coby, but the majority of players seems to dislike the usage of mono Sentinel decks. So, for now, we think we could just leave Sentinel as they are.

Skeelz:
We think Xingshu isn't overpowered when picked alone, but can be when she is paired with some other cards. Plunk is one of them, giving the player a huge tactical advantage, because the Skeelz clan has really nice hitters at 4 and 5 stars. This is why we decided to ban Plunk instead of Xingshu.
Ulu Watu:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Uppers:
We think there are no reasons to make changes here.
Vortex:
We are discussing the ban of Rahi Sledon, a powerful but conditional card that many players asked us to ban.
After having said all of this, here is the new ban list proposition:
Cards added to the ELO bans:
All Stars: Marina
Berzerk: Clive
GHEIST: Rolph
Jungo: Ongh
Pussycats: Diana, Sera M1(to be decided)
Rescue: Campbell (to be decided)
Roots: Flora
Sakrohm: Jautya
Skeelz: Plunk
Vortex: Rahi Sledon
Cards removed from the ELO bans:
All Stars: Robb Cr
GHEIST: Dolly Cr
Leader: Timber, Vholt
Montana: Oscar
Pussycats: Yayoi Cr
Rescue: Elvira (to be decided)
Roots: Arno
Sakrohm: Lear Barduh
