So i made this deck recently ( http://www.urban-rivals.com/en/presets/?id_preset=2838485 ) and for some reason i've got up to about 1150 elo from my 900 losing streak. Now something tells me it might be luck and how un-meta it appears to be but I'm winning quite a bit.
I think it works cause it has so much blocking potential across the board. Coupled with the unorthodox play of attacking with blockers instead of going all in on heavy hitters, plus the fact that im reducing so much damage that even though I have low damage in the deck it manages to inch through to get the win.
The deck...is terrible. If you want to use that clan combo go Belladone, Desmond, Mona, Ivy, Spiaghi, Mercury, Mina, Nabrissa. Use whatever 5* montana you want and don't be too put off by the 5/3 split. If it bothers you that much take out Spiaghi/Ivy for Roxie. Don't cram damage reduction into a deck for no reason.
It is not the worst viable deck ever (that right is reserved for my mono-Pussycat DT deck ), but I wouldn't claim it is good either. Just unconventional. Two big things:
I would think about flipping Ottavia for Cherry or Mina to help threaten life gap (while maintaining DR).
Also I would flip the Montana Protection card since his ability has a chance of being useless (for either Waller or Sharon if Mona doesn't suit you).
I personally don't like Wanda as a card and would flip her for Lorea (or even Samia if you want to maintain a wall).
Still I like unconventional decks. Good to see that people are pushing the boundaries.
I like unconventional decks too! After reading some of the comments I really didn't know what to expect... but once I saw the preset I kinda liked it. I agree that Wanda isn't very good... I'd use Nabrissa instead. But I like Jimmy... I like Jayzel... and I like Florida Jane. Not necessarily my picks but nothing at all wrong with them.
Ottavia and Gianfranco are kinda weak, in my opinion. Ottavia makes sense with your deck at least... keep her maybe... or maybe trade her for Waller cuz, what the heck, it's 1 more damage right? For Gianfranco Mona is obviously your 'correct' replacement. But if you want to keep your deck original... maybe use Paolo instead? A little poison could go a long way with a deck like this.
Did something similar with Bezerk and Montana.
Konrad, Clive, Melanie, Roger, Angelo, Waller, Jimmy, Spiaghi.
It was unconventional as it used a lot of defeat and damage reduction cards which could be used offensively and defensively and generally gapped or koed the foe. Using Montana more for dr and defeat is pretty unconventional imo.
The Montana bonus helped as I was usually low on pillz after using Konrad.
Roger could also be used in place of Konrad though I have to generally be more careful.
I also did make a deck with nothing but dr and defeat + life cards using Ulu Watu and Fang Pi Clang with better results then I expect. Though it was pretty lackluster imo.
