I'm neither for nor against Mildred for the record .
I simply am curious about her and wanted the opinions of others.
Is she simply not good enough as a 2* ?
Or is it her minimum of 11 ?
She can create a gap of 4 - 6 for winning, and it doesn't seem too terrible?
Also, who is better; Mildred or Willow ?

Mildred is good ..
ofc, 1st choice for 2* roots elo atm.

Mildred is the best 2* option for Roots by default. Their 2* lineup is pretty poor, and that's even after the additions of Flora (perma-banned) and Willow. Makes sense Arno is banned as well. Outside of Willow and Mildred you're looking at Treeman and Jeto. Not much is desirable there.
That said, I personally think Willow is better than Mildred from the sheer fact that Willow serves a better purpose as a 2* card, benefiting from losing. Assuming you win round 2 with Mildred, you're getting, at best, a 6 life gap (w/o Fury). For comparisons sake, Treeman gets you a 4 life gap any round and can't be DR'd. SOA kills both. Willow is, at best, a 3 life gap while saving you pillz. Not to mention you have a 1st round bluff with Willow (especially if your opponent plays first).
Ultimately, I avoid Roots 2* cards if I can, especially with Flora and Arno perma-banned.

Hmm, I agree that the Roots 2* are not that great.
But lots of people seem to like running Treeman and most people I've seen talk about Mildred, well, they don't seem to be a fan of the little teenage witch.
(I'm ballparking the age here)

She's a 7-base power card who is both predictable and has a frustrating maximum.

You have to be willing to play her round 3. Realistically, you only see her played round two or 3. Her round two can be pretty subpar, with the 11 minmum. She isn't bad, and is comparable to willow.
I prefer willow simply because SOA + pseudo-DR ruins some heavy hitters and strong openers (take Elvis or Konrad for instance).
Culrix Rico Tuck Wookie and Marcus are all much more important cards to run right now.

If Willow is better then why does she see less play?
Puzzli lnh becaus even in 1300's I see her oh so rarely.
People keep banning Curlix tho.
To be realistic the should ban Curlix and bring back Something.
Call me crazy but I think Rattanah in exchange for Gertjan and Curlix is fair and balanced

Ratanah and Tuck at the same time?

Willow is a bit of a better option if you are in need of a semi dr...
It's just Treeman molds better if you using multiple 3 stars and only need 1 2s that can gap a bit of life.
Mildred is the top option overall but it depends on your deck and your playstyle.
If you are the type to just play like I just need to hit hard constantly, use Treeman. If you are like I love to "old" use Willow. And if you are the type to actually calculate, use Mildred.
Soiuku Titan Harbingers of Ares Thursday 15/10/2015, 14:26
Because it would move people out of the habit of just olding and playing like turtles with Roots .
By removing yet another primarily defensive card (Curlix) and killing the mono option for now, it would be a safe growth for them.
I calculate to make certain my opponent can't close me out of game, but that's not my playstyle. What about that?
JK , but hmm, I see.
I already know Arno and Flora coming back are bad bad ideas.
