Back in the day, I was playing DM all the time. But ever since Leaderwars and Coliseum have been about, I've simply avoided it because they are both hardcore competitive modes. Unlike Deathmatch where you sit in a room with 15 other players, 10 that don't play all their matches and the others do. I don't like competition but like the income of Clint and Credit and perhaps Tokenz which are ideal simply because they are the new aspect of UR.
They should bring it back more appealing. The reason that it died in the first place because the prizes had no incentive. Although I seriously loved playing the mode.
If it was going to come back it should look as appealing as this:
16th-10th: 75 Clintz
9th-8th: 125 Clintz + 300 BP
7th-6th: 200 Clintz + 500 BP
5th-4th: 350 Clintz + 600 BP
3rd: 400 Clintz + 1 Tokenz Bronze + 700 BP
2nd: 500 Clintz + 1 Tokenz Bronze + 850 BP
1st: 750 Clintz + 1 Tokenz Bronze + 1 Tokenz Silver + 1,000 BP
And to top it all:
Win 3 Deathmatches in a row: 1 Silver Tokenz +2,000 BP
Win 5 Deathmatches in a row: 2 Silver Tokenz + 2,000 BP
Win 10 Deathmatches in a row: 1 Gold Tokenz + 3,000 BP
It's meant to be hard but the incentive is good, +1 if you agree
I'd agree with Darkblood solely on the grounds of that actually being a fix and not an entirely new and complicated set of rules with the name "Deathmatch" stapled ontop just to have a mode called Deathmatch, but we're not allowed to +1 stuff on the new site.
I would start playing again and spending money on this game again if they did bring back DM and the old ranking system to entice players to play, The real death of Death Match was they infamous reorganizing of the ranking system for guilds. It effectively and single handedly destroyed the appeal of this highly profitable game mode to Urban Rivals. The fact that the game has seen an all time low in players since it was removed attest to that fact. I never understood why they would remove the one game mode and reason to play that game mode that held the attention of so many of their loyalist and hardcore fans? Well it is their company and if they want to destroy it so be it.
