The current system of acquiring the original* ld cards is terrible. It's fine to tie the 2nd round of ld's to the arcade storyline, but that doesn't solve the problem of how unavailable the first batch of ld's are for anyone trying to acquire a specific missing card. At the rate we are going, its going to take many months, maybe a year plus to get enough headquarters for each clan out there. This doesn't solve anything for those without the cards. Plus I would argue that completing hardcore is harder for new players then finishing ld missions. (It is also certainly less entertaining then missions ). It seems UR is putting both eggs in the same basket instead of having different ways to acquire both.
Rotating missions was a terrible idea after the pool of ld's grew, yet the system never changed. I took a 2 year break from UR after getting about the first 5 ld's. I came back a year ago, and not until Scott Ld's re-release a few months ago was I able to catch up. That is a way to long of a time to make people wait to acquire such *free cards.
I think every single one of the orignal Ld's should again be tied to a set of 5 missions to be acquired. However the missions should not be timed, so new players can get the cards when they find it necessary. Also the missions should not give credits to players with the card already (go spend 2.90$ every other month to get the same amount of credits..while actually supporting UR).
