May have written it incorrectly, what I mean to say, is that being rich, results in you being able to afford semi-evo cards and cards that are often out of the reach and more powerful than others, Ymirah for example, which in the lower zones, paired up with other cards, can pretty much make you unstoppable.
I realise that the above zones of course are limited to the newer cards, however, those are still going to be expensive as they're new, alongside the fact that you may not be able to reach the higher EFC zones if you're not at least a rich player, as if you're a newer player, or a more casual player who collects card as you get them, you won't stand a chance in this game-mode!
On the other hand, with Elo, you could easily make a 50-100k deck, and get a score of say 1300 every week, and possibly more if you were skilled enough. Although some of the NB's before they get banned would be overpowered, they would eventually get banned and the effect of clintz or money on the game was nullified, to the extent that the skill you have, can outweigh the amount of clintz you have!
I'm just saying that EFC is reversing this, the more money you have, the greater the chance of success you'll have, just because you'll have access to stupidly OP cards that others won't have.
Limiting the possible cards to only recent ones at high levels is HORRIBLE. Seriously came back and read all the new stuff, my deck is worthless at a higher level, and I gotta keep changing the damn thing when new cards come out? Makes the whole thing pointless now.
Admittedly, that is one aspect to it. Players coming back find it ALOT harder to keep up with the higher levels in the EFC, and unless they're mega rich, will be unlikely to keep up with the lower zones of the EFC.
I'm not sure why I don't see more people complaining about this!
If the EFC got some kind of banning system introduced to it, LIKE ELO, that would be a step to improving it.
But then it would literally be, Elo, just at higher levels using newer cards, leads to less deck diversity, most likely leading to less skill.
Its been like that in elo as well. you dont have a problume with efc really. you have a problem with rich players. you dont notice the different cause your mad an it blinds you.
efc is so much easier for mew players up to zone 3 after zone 3 it gets really hard. unless you have more of the new more expensive cards.
@Chaos If those rewards were implemented into ELO, surely then you'd be able to build up your collection though right?
The existence of crazy overpowered cards unfortunately won't be changing any time soon I think, it does certainly spice up the other game-modes!
