Recently there has been a lot more auction in the EN community which is great! but a lot of rules are not being followed. So let me remind you:
- CAN NOT be modified after the auction is created. If you want any custom rules, there is no problem but it cannot conflict with any other auction rules.
Example: Minimum bid increments, they must be specified upon auction creation and respected till the end of the auction.
- MUST have [AUCT] tag in the title.
- MUST be created in a new thread. You cannot reuse an old auction thread however you can have multiple auctions in a thread if defined upon thread creation.
- MUST have an end time and include a GMT. This can not be changed or cancelled, unless by a moderator.
- MUST specify which cards are being auctioned including the level of the cards.
- MUST specify which cards/crs you are looking for WITH estimations for each card and how many you want.
- If you accept any bids with cards/crs then you MUST estimate the cards as well.
- MUST specify clearly the end time/minute.
End Time Friday = wrong
End Time 30 minutes = read below.
End Time 12h:30m = Wrong, read below.
End Time 12h:29m:59m = OK
If it is specified with no second, then it ends on :59 second of the previous minute.
12h:30m is 12h:29m:59s , 14h:22m is 14h:21m:59s , 00h:10m is 00h:09m:59s - Any bids starting on or after the next minute must be rejected.
30minutes is 29m:59s. So that means an auction starting at 01:10am ends at 01h:39m:59s, all bids on or after 1:40 is out of time.
Please make your end time clear!
-Any player who wishes to buyout in an auction must make it clear in the Auction Thread.
-An Auction is considered over if one player accepts the buyout price.
VALUATION OF CARDS
Example to make proper estimations for cards you are looking for (card XP, amount, clintz - all required) :
Serafina 0xp 420 000 clintz Any amount
Serafina Any XP 410 000 clintz Max 3
Jackie Cr 800 000 Any XP Any amount.
And you can estimate cards which are not in list while auction, if people want to bet them. See rules below.
-The creator of the auction reserves the right to valuate the cards of any bidder in their auction if there is no mention that they value cards at market value
-If it is made clear that the auction accepts cards in market value, the auction must use the market value of the card until the end of the auction.
-When a valuation of a card is made, the creator cannot change their valuation of the same card with the same XP in their auction.
-The creator of the auction reserves the right to use sales tax in their deductions from bids, but must let it be mentioned at the start.
-The creator has the right to ask bidders about their bids if it is unclear to them.
CLOSING OF AUCTIONS
-The creator of the auction cannot close their auction thread after 5 minutes of posting it.
-If an Auction is less than 5 minutes, it cannot be closed if one player bids
-The Auctioneer must explain why they closed their thread if it is closed before their ending time.
-Auction Threads are expected to be closed once the trade is complete.
Winners of the auction must complete the trade and must not back out of it or it will result in a blacklist for them. The same can be said for players who post false bids (cards they don't own) or auctioneers who consistently close auctions before their ending time without a valid reason.
In any event of where these rules are not followed or if the auction rules are too confusing/unclear, the auction will be closed regardless of how much time has progressed or who has bid.

In MOB, if you asked members who participated in my auctions, it is almost impossible to snipe in my auctions (I give estimated ending times, never actual ending times as my fellow Guild Administrators always have Snipers in their Auctions).
E.g.: 1 #Spiaghi Cr (Singapore Time start: 10:00 am (+8GMT) November 1, Expected end Time: 06:00pm-10:00pm (+8GMT) November 2)
Where the ending time is already predetermined by a random number generator.
Starting Bid 50 Clintz, Bid increase rule: Minimum increase 5% of the current highest bid. Usually snipers have difficulty handling sudden spikes in the bid.
I use percentages to help manage things and prevent under-belt bidding or over the top bidding.
However, for security reasons, I do not think this idea is possible to incorporate on a public Forum due to security and the fact Public Auctions demand exact ending times as Infiniti mentioned. I also think an actual ending time can be used as evidence for security measures with potential complaints on the auction should the seller not meet their end of the deal and purposely accept a lower than higher bid.
I am giving you insight on how my auctions deal with Snipers. But again, there are players who might cause issues if it is acceptable to give an ending time range instead of an actual ending time as it permits repercussions and complaints.
*Did you know, in the Old Urban Rivals site, the winner of the Auction paid the price of the second highest bidder? However it does not work here as everyones prices are not anonymous, something that cannot be achieved in the public forum since everyone`s bids are made public.
Infiniti, this was based on my experience from the old website sometime around 2013-2014.
I happened to win a Chloe off an Auction in the old site and had to pay 3,100 Clintz.
My actual bid was 3,300 Clintz, but my sales history and Auction notes indicated I paid 3,100 Clintz before the new site came.
