Everyone talking about ability, and stats, but no one even thinking that his bonus is SoA.
We are all forgetting the dark times of 2012-2014 where the only clans played were Gheist and Roots
The admin team made a statement that SoA clans are supposed to be counter meta and not the meta themselves. And since making that statement, they have held true to their word. Roots and Gheist don't control the meta. Giving them a really strong reliable LD could do that.
A 7/5 SoA and +10 or more attack manipulation is an even stronger Qubik.
6/6 with a small corrosion ability might be interesting. He would function closer to Glorg this way.
So a 6/6 with a small corrosion ability is supposed to be counter meta when almost every deck has a 9 powered beast and attack manipulation? Oh maybe you mean the fact that some of the most popular decks include SoB clans, that cancel out Jaxx Ld's SoA?
I do understand staff's concerns, SoA is very disruptive. Cards are fun because they have abilities, and SoA takes that away from them, I get it.
But one thing is to control an SoA clan by limiting their Lds and a whole other thing is to make a card completely unplayable in the current meta!
I'm not asking for Jaxx Ld to destroy these cards, I'm asking for staff to make it so I can put him in my deck and not always hope to not draw him...
That Qubik comparison tho is definitely a fair point, but I really don't know how effective that would be in this meta.
The problem is that Jax has 6 power AND a pretty weak ability.
Unless you're playing a deck that loses to SoA, Jax will probably be at a disadvantage.
XU-Kr4ng 4* is arguably much better than jaxx even though he's much more conditional.
Why? Because gheist are gheist, you play them and cut through whatever the opp plays, you don't need to worry about DRs or counter cards (unless it's skeelz or sob clans), so having conditional cards becomes less of an issue than a clan like vortex.
Rn I feel like Jax and Harrow are the two lds staff refuses to give a proper buff/rework and they really need it.
But then again, the less play gheist sees the happier I am.
I've been thinking about it more.
Poison or corrosion on him would be redundant as they just released a poison card for the clan.
What would be cool, is if he was given damage reduction. It's the one thing the clan is lacking. It was too strong on 3 star Bristone, but maybe on their four star Ld it would be more reasonable.
Jaxx would become a staple for the clan and it would more than likely jump Gheist up a few notches.

But if we speak seriously, i think Roots, Gheist, Riots are hardest to balance clans.
If you make them strong enough for regular players - they are abused by ELO proes, if you prevent that, they are not very playable for majority.
