@Harley I don't understand where you're getting penalized twice. Here... let me copy and paste something from further back in this conversation:

On a sidenote: Don't get confused by the "Game rules" where it still says that the one quitting or timing out gets a -20 points penalty in DTs.
This was removed to not punish the players with technical difficulties.
But of course this also created the possibility to exploit it and just leave the match without consequences.
Where are you getting penalized even once? How is giving a player who has had their time wasted extra points a penalty to you? Much less a 'second' one? Surely you know how aggravating it is during a DT when you know your score is pretty high to have a player take the full time on a turn. That time LITERALLY costs the person who is not disconnected points. We're just saying give them back. Has nothing to do with the person who did get disconnected.
Honestly you should take your own advice and complain to UR to fix hardware and software. We're just tryin to get our points back and if you don't think it's actually a strategy that gets used and abused then maybe go look on our guild forums at the DT Guide.
This Is HOW:
I'm already receiving NO points due to UR glitch
THEN YOU receive a KO bonus that I fall behind and can't catch up.
You gents are single minded until it happens to you. Yes there are chavs resorting to timing out to slow down legit 1st place winners. But they troll every players equally.
When you suggest YOU receive extra KO Pts above current calculations then bingo I'm gutted twice..and I didn't cause it.
I grind day in day out, reached a couple #4 finish and thankful for my guild's support.
You want to grand extra penalty to Forfeit? PERFECT I agree.
Nah I don't agree to timeout = KO bonus, that wack
HEY You go complain, and learn Queen's English
1. We play. I time out due to UR..that means you Win Pts and I earn ZERO (and probable Temp Ban if time out is frequent)
This means I'm penalized ONE time due to UR glitch.
I didn't do it on purpose
I also asked my brother and he explained back when he played Time Outs were penalized in DT -Pts, just as it remains in effect in Coliseum. So I believe him.
Proposed KO Penalty Bonus for TIme Out
2. You're already 16 Pts ahead due to my Time Out. But you want additional KO + Bonus even though our match was incomplete?
GO pound sand.
Don't insult me and type "you should take your own advice" passive aggressive reply and think I'll back down because I'm a girl.
Yes I know Open Casket offers helpful DT Guides. Silly that you'd believe I won't read that.
The difference between a forfeit and a timeout from the winners perspective is that a forfeit is instant and a timeout takes time 60/50/40/30 seconds depending on the round. and since the bonus is only 1 point it won't make that much of a difference anyway except for KO missions.
Anyway, Good luck in your Tourneys, I hope you win one soon!
Thanks guys and I'm sorry for blowing up.
I can't stand Arlo_OC for talking down women as though we're toddlers.
UR frustrates me and I play unloved cards LOL..but I'm focused on my goal and fun to interact with you guys.
I have a lot to learn and UR is difficult without your help.
Nothing I said had anything to do with you being a woman. You need to calm down.
You said that we should take our problems up with UR so that they can fix their hardware and software. But clearly you are the one complaining about the hardware and software aspect of this discussion.
I simply want to be repaid for my lost time in a game mode where time is important.
I wasn't telling you to read the Guild Guide because I think you need help playing the game. I was telling you to read the Guild Guide because there's a part in there about 'when to leave a match.' Which proves that some people do it on purpose.
I don't agree at all that extra points when time runs out is a second penalty to the player that lost. They are not losing points.
On the other hand, the player that won lost time for sure, and possibly a couple points.
The argument "i want to win DT too so it's unfair if my op wins a couple more points because the game is broken" doesn't work. This system is unfair to the player who won. The problem with the player who lost isn't the points system, is the game bugs
