At least from T1 play. I do not know how well he is performing in T2, but this card is absolutely oppressive in T1.
I've personally witnessed the operator, O Poison, consistently AND consecutively place 1st with over 500 points each time they entered the tournament with a Rescue deck featuring this card.
I do not think Captain Rescue needs to be banned in T1. If anything if Hawk is acceptable, then the same could be said for Captain Rescue.
Previous bans from Tourney when it comes to the Rescue are lower Stars. This is because cards such as Lea and Dr Norton Cr can easily beat 5 Star Cards with minimal effort and secure a lot of points. Captain Rescue is an easy round winner, but I think this is at a healthy position as opposed to Roderick, #Maana Cercei or Death Adder just to name a few.
I am not sure if Captain Rescue is the main source of points since this is a 5 Star.
The supporting cards that back up Captain Rescue should also to be considered when making bans.
Though overall, if it is proven to be heavily used by players and results to alarming win-rates and usage rates, then who knows? Maybe Captain Rescue will be banned in Tourney.
At most, I believe he could be banned in T2, but not T1. Why? Because he has ‘only’ 6 dmg, which in Rescue is pretty awkward. The clan seems to favor the 5-7 dmg split and most of their useable cards have 5 or 7 dmg. This is especially true with their 2/3 stars (I mean, who uses Lobo nowadays?) So in order to 2HKO with Captain Rescue, most cards have to fury.
The exception of course, is that quite a few Rescue 4/5* have 6 dmg, but in T1, you probably cannot fit more than 2 in your deck (I mean, you CAN, but it takes a lot of 1*).
Thats not to say Captain Rescue isn’t intimidating, he is, but he’s far from gamebreaking. (But then, staff seem to think Sue is worthy of a ban, so what do I know?)
