The new EFC season kicks off today!
As things stand, every time we release New Blood cards, they coincide with the last week in the EFC season.
This has caused a number of problems:
- The meta changes at the beginning of the last week, 3 days before the end of the season, leaving players with too little time to get used to and adjust to the new cards.
- Having a meta week cut in two for the last EFC week makes it slightly difficult for us to take decisions regarding authorizing or banning certain cards, because the meta is not stable enough.
So, on a one-off basis, we’ve decided to make EFC Season 16 last just three weeks rather than 4.
This will mean that from now on, the release of the New Blood cards will coincide with the 1st and 3rd weeks of the EFC, rather than the 2nd and 4th weeks, thus resolving the above-mentioned problems.
And of course, all subsequent seasons will once again revert to a duration of 4 weeks.
Start date: 23/07
End date: 12/08
A little update to the list of EFC bans will take place later in the week. Stay tuned!

It is mathematically possible.
You just need to met opponents with bit lower, same or better rank and if you keep winning 50% games, you are climbing.
According to EFC calculator we can find in rules:
If you have 1500 rank, your opponent have 1350.
Victory: You: 1526 (26) Opponent: 1331 (-19)
Defeat: You: 1475 (-25) Opponent: 1385 (35)
Draw: You: 1500 (0) Opponent: 1350 (+0)
So, even if you met player with 150 rank less than you, you still gain rank if you have 50% winrate.
In reality you most likely won't get only these kind of opponents, but if you are lucky enough, it might be possible.
And anyway, you can be struggling in top100 with huge amount games with example, 45% winrate, get one streak with winning 20 games in a row which would be enough for top10 and improve winrate to 50%, so does it counts as getting top10 with 50% winrate?
