After a while of playing almost nothing but survivor I got so bored of the mode, because it's the same decks over and over. Noone tries new things because the new things get destroyed easily
1. Junkz is so OP with Gumbeat, Lorenzald making it nearly impossible to attack once,. with Gumbeat lorenzald combo, without raptors you have to be perfect with pillz or lose. You have to have SOA or Damage cancel to bypass the reducers of the clan, Soneta, Travis, DJ Korr Cr. Only clan weakness is no good SOA cards, this clan is no 1 easilt
2. Riots this clan has everything because of the Rocktana and fugomatic, do you want DR? Here's a 9/7 with -8 Damage and it also gives back a pill. 8/6 SOA here you go. -5 power manip? Better have an SOA or easy 7 damage. Then other amazing cards like Pr priest 8/7 copy bonus the clan is a monster.
3. Gheist. This clan has no weakness unless you are playing Merrie. Because of ksendra if you pillz wrong even once, you can lose with no hope. Rolph and tunders will outpill you eventually.
4. Komboka , not the worst but it has 3 big levels, bahari/Kuwaka/Volkan is amazing, their only weakness is no DR. Old you lose, pill middle Kuwaka wins the game already, pill too much you lose pill disadvantage.
Then skeelz , all stars, ulu watu, dominion are lower, playable but worse than the meta. It's sad that the mode is like this, because some clans get more OP cards it pushes others out. Most people just dont enjoy playing the same thing over and over
@hiphoppa i think part of the problem is survivor's identity moved away from the origin because of the focus on 'big cards' - the staff decided everyone should be superpowered which in theory, increases the number of options - you don't need to play Junkz anymore for a dj korr level deck, right? No more poor FPC with their weak choices,everyone has a Guru Cr. But in practice this only reduced the number of cards you could choose.
Nowadays cards like bloodh cr are essentially useless in the gamemode. Before, almost every clan had so many good 5* choices to put in, now there are two, three mandatory picks in each clan and you can't break away from it or you're left in the dust. So many 5* now are pointless, no room in tourney because of how points work, no room in EFC with 25* limit, and no room in survivor because they're too weak. No room in free fight either with serafina giving people space aids
And how that affects winstreaks is its not really possible to get 100% wins easily in the gamemode, if both players are using top clans it's a 50/50 until at least round 3. When cards have lower stats and can't surprise 2HKO when you've wrongly pilled skill becomes more powerful and secures winchance higher. Now there feels like a huge element of randomness you can never remove unlike EFC and even tourney
Survivor has always had a stale meta due to the lack of bans. Even back in the old days when it was all uppers or sak. They have been trying with cards like Merrie but 1 card per month can’t change things fast enough. I don’t think people want card bans so maybe format changes are the answer? 8-12 card decks? 12-16 starting life total? Minimum 3 clans?

also seen lots of NM and wouldn't be surprised to see dominion with the Op 3*, vortex is slept on etc.
Its natural for the best decks to become meta and SV has been a rock paper scissors of stats>soa soa>ability ability>stats forever. or #behemoth>No Love Zlabal>#behemoth No Love > Zlabal. and cards that deal with counters better (for example The Rocktana beats soas/cancel damage statwise DRs power exchange and is pretty much a favorable matchup most of the time) will be used more.
