Colossus - Open Casket
This Thread is only allowed to be posted in Introduction so here I am.
I would first like to inform the dear readers that this post is not intended to discourage UR players but instead encourage.
I hope that at the very least the players that are leaving can leave a mark if not in the game then in the UR community.
We all have to leave someday either this game first or the world.
I would only ask 3 questions
1. How long have you played this game? (Mention best moments)
2. Why are you leaving the game?
3. What would you like to advice the UR Community? (Give it your best shot )
(Optional)
Share some info about yourself.
Important
Do not post anything that gets you in trouble
Thank you and All the best in real life where ever you may be.
Read my bio if you ever want to keep in touch.

Hey people I am leaving today. I spent too much time and money (about 100 euro) on this game already and its time to stop. I no longer felt like i really made progress. Getting lyse teria felt like just another card because of the wheel. It's been fun while it lasted, but i feel like the game I once enjoyed so much doesn't really exist anymore.
My final message,
Goodbye

Since 2010 spent a few weeks and was able to finally win enough matches to be able to afford Nanook to help start making my ulu watu team more competitive outside of the basics like Jeff or Warren you got for free in the starter pack. The wheel and BM has gotten me nearly every card in less than 3 months and even getting Scarlett Mt wasn't as special as that Nanook.
For me I semi left and the only real reason I am still here is I love the artworks and the lore other than that I am barely active in the game itself. A bigger issue for me not really playing the game is the basic formula for the game has barely changed and the modes are barely that different. I wish we had a completely new mode and not a variation of the current game. They can just reuse all existing cards and start the game with every clan at 4 cards and slowly add existing cards in as weekly or biweekly releases sort like what yu gi oh did with duel links where they slowly bring in pre existing cards. An easy option is to reformat the FR basic game mechanics to work with UR cards for an FR mode.

@13 Im here since 2009 so I completely understand your post and I feel exactly the same...
I miss times when getting card like Kolos for ~30k (back in old days that was one of the most expensive cards in UR excluding Cr) or Tanaereva was like a win in lottery... when there was no powercreep, cards like Kolos was considered amongst the strongest cards in the game.
Tournaments, modes everything was really fun to play and there was a lot of people to play against.
Nowadays however just like you said nothing really changed throughout all these years besides adding ton of OP cards that ruined game experience at least for me, I really have little to no fun playing this game (and I am playing veeery rarely now).
I am staying here (visiting) just because of nostalgia reasons and collecting but to be honest, collecting cards in this game doesn't make sense anymore nor brings joy to me when everyone already have 90%+ collection thanks to BM and wheel, getting new expensive card is just nothing breathtaking anymore.

The feeling you have with Nanook is the same I have for Olga. I miss those days when you play all week just to buy a card of 2 500 clintz

@Ares
Oh right that too I was slowly going my collection like a baseball card collection slowly playing the market, but not full blown 500 copies of "x" but a modest 50-100 copies hold for a few months and make like 100-200k profit for the next card I want and feeling great working to predict the market. The wheel prenerf basically turned the 17mil I had on hand into easily 500mil + with the amount of times I scored #dj korr cr, Guru Cr, Enigma etc and filling every non MT slot I had open within 1 month. It just isn't as special anymore and the collecting aspect I felt was a strong goal for people to fill their collection or get that goal post card that sits at the top taunting them. We wanted UR to be more generous like when they added daily rewards so players aren't grinding for hours just for a measly 1k-2k just to buy a subpar common card for their deck, but the wheel then bm has been overkill.

I agree with both Anzboy and Ares
I have been playing since 2010 and remembers the time were cr’s like Terry Cr was worth under 10k and were Tanaereva was worth under 500k. That was some good market time. Also the game was a lot more simple and there wasn’t any super strong abilities and bonuses that made any clan get lost in time.
That have changed in 2020 were I personally think that La Junta as a clan haven’t aged well. At the same time the whole market and bm’s have become ridiculous. Sure the prices have in most cases just 10x it’s value but it have gone out of hand. Also the constant powerful card releases has also become annoying
I always knew back in 2019 when I first reached eternal that in order to keep it I would have to keep up with new bloods releases which to begin with was easy enough. But now over a year later it have just become annoying to do since the prices are to ridiculous.
I play the game quite often still but that’s only because of missions and nothing else. The whole market is not what it use to be

Just a little correction: I was actually playing since 2006 when I was 11YO (I remember finding UR with my friends in primary school).
I got confused when Morten said Tanaereva was 500k, I remember pulling him from pack and he was like 40k most expensive non-cr card... beautiful UR days...
BIG 5 long, long time ago was about ~700k-1M each and that was impossible-to-get price for me, I thought I can never get any of them
and just like Morten said there are clans that just didn't age well and are overshadowed by new-gen clans.
I can understand they've tried to make it easier for new players to get a collection and also make money on it, but this is a slap to players like me who played for years to get certain expensive card and slowly fill collection.
