Imperator - Wise Men Distracted
I wanted to welcome our newest Moderator, Force Majere. She is new so feel free to hammer her with questions instead of antagonizing me
Seriously though, it's about time we got some more girls on staff. Unless I'm about to look very stupid if Pumpkin and Symbolic have been lying to me, but I'll blame it on them because as we all know, I'm perfect.
At any rate, I want to welcome aboard our new staff member. *does a Kermit the Frog cheer as she runs offstage*

7-Redge-7 you forgot BEATBOXER and Memento Mori
BEATBOXER isn´t active because he´s a chef and in Spain it´s time for tourism
Memento doesn´t write constantly, but keeps his database updated
Good mods both of them.

Let me correct you Merm, it´s Philippine, i´ve searched in BabelFish, filipino(a) is in Spanish.
People living in the Philippines are called Filipino or Filipina but our localized version is Pinoy or Pinay, our language is a mixture of local dialects heavily influenced by the Spanish language because the Philippines was colonized by Spain for years... We also got some words from the English language (American English)

Aww but it would amuse me seeing Pinoys sitting around speaking the Queen's English and sipping tea, with bad upper crust English accents *giggles*

@ 0-invoker: I know because I am one.
@1_Alejandro: The country is called Philippines, Yes, but the people are usually referred to as Filipino/Filipina.
@Nqa2nite: Thanks for the simple explanation.
@StormWhisper: Pinoys are taught and are familiar with american english (this depends if they are brought up in a british english speaking country). I, myself can't even manage to change the way I speak and I live in a country under the Queen's ruling(can't change the stresses on how to pronounce words but that doesnt bother me for as long as I understand them and they understand me). It is amusing hearing people try the accent, I do try them at times but I do end up laughing at myself because of it, which is an embarassing admission for me by the way.
Lol.
