Noisy, undisciplined and aggressive, the Piranas have cast anchor in town and are in no hurry to leave, having decided to make Clint City their headquarters. As the first of the crew to disembark, Katan, Hawkins, Rhed, Spycee, Smokey and Mayhem, have come to weigh up the competition before standing by to board!

We have been testing intensively this release especially to avoid a “Rescue – release” effect and I can tell you we are quite happy with the result. Testing their abilities against the well-established decks in the meta-game helped us balance their stats so they can be fun and powerful, if used wisely, but not overpowered in any way.
After first seeing the cards, some players have been disappointed by the fact that it’s not a new bonus, but after seeing the new great abilities I’m sure everybody is satisfied with this release.
Many players have different opinions, some say they are overpowered some say underpowered. I think that’s a sign that we have here a good balanced release that will attract many players into using them without un-balancing the meta-game (just making it more interesting and fun)
Having a reasonable experience using them I can tell you that they will be a force to be reckoned with and, if used cleverly, they can upset many of the top decks.
Now for the cards:
Spycee as a 5/2 double stopper is a decent card, balanced for a common, as a 6/2 he would have been too unbalanced, this way he can find his place as a filler that can upset many cards. He can be compared with Samantha.
Hawkins is a great lvl 2, he can be very tricky, the opponent will face a powerful card that can reduce his pillz, great as a bluffer too, although poison cards like sheitane are better as bluffers. In the last rounds he can be a good “wall”
Rhed can be compared with a 6/6 for 3 stars but that’s a long discussion with advantages and disadvantages. She can’t help you ko in turn 2, like a real 6/6 but she can be more useful against good reducers (-3,- 4 or - 5 opp. damage). An excellent hitter but with 6 power she can be stopped.
Smokey is my favorite card in this release, we had to tune him down a little, but still he can gain a big strategic advantage when used in the first rounds. We can easily play him with 5 or 6 pillz and with power 7 and stop bonus it will be very hard for the opponent to decide how to block him
Mayhem is a card designed to work well with his teammates (who help you achieve pillz advantage in order to use those pillz on a good finisher). As a 5 power card he may not be the first pick but he can be used with a high number of pillz in order to deal some serious damage.
Katan is card that combines a strategic ability with a good damage and power. She can easily be used with 7 pillz, for example, and the opponent will never know what hit him. Or she can be a frightening bluff card that can help you achieve massive pillz advantage.
At first sight I saw the potential of the new abilities but I thought that they are a little worse than abilities like poison that have a more direct influence on the opponent’s life total. After testing I realized that they can gain a more subtle advantage that can prove deadlier than a round 1 poison 2.
As for ELO decks, my favorite so far is the Piranas / Nightmare “Stop Bonus” deck.
Sheitane, Hel, Kenny, Kolos, Hawkins, Rhed, Smokey and Katan can be a very tricky deck to play with and play against. They don’t have so much power but with a good strategy they can defeat most of the top decks.
My advice is that you test the clan and the new abilities and after a short while I’m sure you’ll appreciate the fun and diversity they bring as well as a good amount of new interesting battle strategies.
