There have been several reports of attempted scamming lately. Anyone asking for your password is trying to rob you. This cannot be emphasized enough. Here are a couple of scamming methods to watch out for...
I am a moderator. I need your password so I can inspect / add something to(cards, clintz, credits) your account.
NO ONE on the Urban Rivals staff will ever ask for your password. If something needs to be added to your account, the Admins do not need your password to do so. The same applies if your account needs to be checked for activity of any kind.
Take this survey and we'll give you free credits/clintz/cards. Just give us your account name and password so we know where to put them.
No website that offers free credits/clintz/cards is sponsored by Urban Rivals. If you see an offer like this, it is almost certainly a scam.
Again, do not, for any reason, give your password to anyone.
Still? wow come on people you can sell a card a day [I think] and make your collection you don't need to scam. That's just pretty low and seems unfair i been scammed before and its not cool you'll be all panicking and stuff. Don't listen to none of those websites, youtube videos, or Yahoo/Google cheat/codes for Urban Rivals. I seen some videos and it seems obvious who's scamming. I been scammed from a Jackie and had to wait over a week to get her back the same person also scammed a friend and he never got he's cards back at least i think. Hm that may prove when you get scammed you might or might not get your cards backed once you get scammed.
These messages should actually be given to people upon starting the game.
Most people get scammed not knowing these posts exist.
Some of the rules need to clarified also.
Like the multi account rule, the hacking rule, password giving rule.
The rules are to short and have no clear meaning.
It took me 4 hours to find the rules page.
Some people steal cards and sometimes getaway with.
The people that i hear that from are also people with multi accounts though.
UR needs just a huge rule redo.
Specify what is a no no and what is good.
I have friends who get banned and have no clue why and have no means of finding out why.
I realize this game has over five million players, but somethings are not clear.
I have asked many questions as to what the punishment for certain actions are and none of the game Mods or Admins could tell me what they were.
They simple said they didn't know and that they only new it was harsh.
Yet when people are banned they come right back to the game with another account.
Everytime you register for something, it should be a habit to always check the terms and condition of the what you are registering for. This is because as you register, you are officially "agreeing" to everything stated on that page. In Urban-Rivals, this T&C (http://www.urban-rivals.com/player/cgv.php) is located at the bottom part of the front page screen. All rules relating to the game are indicated there clearly.
Of course, some pages under "contact us" (Game rules & FAQs) help clarify some part of the T&C as well.
It is the players' own responsibility to roam around the game and not get pushed by everybody to "read this and read that".
@ Silverton55: Those rules are found under the T&C of the game. If someone got banned and are wondering why they are banned, then the best thing to do is for them to contact the customers' support services immediately. As you said, there are over 5 million players in the game, it will be unrealistic if we try to ask them one by one what their problem is. We will not know what you are uncertain of unless you contact us about them. Moderators and admins can clearly tell you what punishment will be given for illegal activities in the game. Sometimes they are not able to tell you immediately because everything needs to be thoroughly checked first before we give our answers.
@-benny-: Mods are handpicked by the staff, surely no player who has the intention of scamming people will get the position.
