The students put on quite a show and while some of the clans were pretty impressed, others have decided to strike back and they definitely mean business. The first to retaliate are the Pussycats with Noemi, then there’s the Jungo with Pegh, La Junta with Archibald and not forgetting the Rescue with the fearsome Sledg. Get these characters in the shop’s New Blood, Action and Cool Attitude packs.
Yes, Pussycats have great 4 and 5* cards, but when have you ever seen a Pussycats deck overwhelm any other clan? I've had plenty of games where I won all four rounds with attack mod clans, but have never done it with Pussycats because they have to use so many pillz to get over attack mods. I understand that Pussycats is much more strategic and they are designed to only win by a couple life points in non-KO battles. And frankly, if they become too strong (which I don't see happening) Charlie or Yayoi can always be banned. Adding a legit 3* to Pussycats won't unbalance the game, if anything it will make Pussycats playable in Elo again. And any build that relies on un-maxed cards is very expensive and not practical.
I agree that Uppers is very strong, although it doesn't come through as much since Jackie is staff banned, and either Dorian or Zatman, or both, is banned in any given week. I'd like to see a pill manipulation 2* (like a Trey or Gil type) but that would put Uppers over the top so if they get anything it will likely be another mediocre 4*.
As for Piranhas, they are appropriately powered since their bonus stops the bonus of other clans. Too many high-powered cards and you essentially get too many 7/8 power against 5/6 power, and when you get pillz back it would make Piranhas overpowered. Nightmare do need a new high powered card, as there are a lot of 6 powered cards (and with Kolos essentially permanently banned, the other 5*'s are a joke). (I like parentheses too.)
