Welcome back! The first thing I recommend you check out is the Arcade mode and try to play through all of the missions there. At the end of it, you'll have a ton of cards and you'll have experienced a good chunk of the somewhat newer cards and clans.
From that, try to focus on a clan you want to play. Pretty much all of them are viable if you build them right, so just pick the clan you enjoy the most. Then, try asking the forum for suggestions on a build for your favorite clan(s). Most people on here will be happy to assist you, including myself.
I'd also recommend playing mostly in Tourney since you get good rewards and things aren't too competitive or restrictive. You always gain points in Tourney whether you win or lose, so it's actually not that hard to end up getting decently high on the rankings.
Also, once you get pretty settled with your decks and playing in tourney, use the leftover clintz you have on spinning the wheel. You are almost guaranteed to make a profit off of it in cards that you receive over time. All it takes is a few cycles of spins to start building your collection and making a bunch of clintz.
