Koshiro had been sent by his father to Ashigaru to master the Shuiro Chi technique. But on arriving in Clint City, he soon lost interest. Ashigaru imposed a strict and grueling training program because the ultimate technique of the Atsui school can only be learnt after several years of practice. The impatient and bad-tempered Koshiro soon cracked under the pressure and instead tried to steal the parchment describing the technique. However, he was caught red-handed and expelled on the spot. Full of fury and resentment, Koshiro swore to get his revenge and if he can’t learn the Shuiro Chi, well he’ll just have to find another way to outdo his master and bring him to his knees! It’s just this kind of silly story that has you knocking on the GHEIST’s door and ending up enslaved to the organization as a killing machine.

Definitely not what GHEIST needed. Where is our god @#%$ decent 3* release!

Wuzzat? Stalfhaust is looking to smack you upside the head. Klawz isn't too happy with you either, nor is king Levi.
GHIEST have two great ELO legal 3*s, and another good one. Several solid 2* choices as well, plus the big line up at 4* means the GHIEST aren't hurting in ELO *s. Yea, Dolly and Bristone are staff banned, but it would be a GHIEST frenzy if either of them was let back in without another GHIEST having to bite the ban.
GHIEST aren't killing it in T2; giving them a 8 power defeat card that can help setup for Mecha's 0HKO is very helpful. Fair release, not OP for ELO, but giving them some more purpose in another format.

Allright, i haven't reviewed anything in a long time, now it's time to get back to doing so.
    Let's start with this guy.

    - 8 power. This looks really, really nice.
    - 6 damage to go along with it. 2hko possibilities include Hriger, Methane, Anibal, Jaxx LD, furious Z3r0 d34d, Arkn, etc. Note that all these cards are not 5* and are allowed in ELO as of this day.
    - His ability allows you to safely remove 2 pillz from your enemy, whether bluffing, or getting outpilled in order to deliver your whooping 6 damage.
    - Of course, his bonus will stop pesky SoA, damage reduction that might be thrown to preserve pills, or ability-based power/attack manipulations.
    - Other Gheist and Roots don't do much harm. They just make your mind-games easier, to some extent
    - Useful in both ELO and T2. Mechakolos and Wardom love this card in your hand.
    - Is frightening enough for you to use any number of pills from 1-6 on the first round.
    - Most power manipulation is ability-based, so you'll be safe from the many people who rely on cards like Spyke, Robb Cr, etc.
    - That. Art.

    - High ability minimum, reminiscent to that of Dahlia Cr. Truth is, the longer you go without him, the more predictable you get. Strange, coming from defeat-based ability cards.
    - If you want to play ELO, this card might have some competition in Wardom. Up to player preference.
    - Bonus-based attack manipulation, with the exception of the Sentinel. In most cases, SoA will wreck them.
    - Skeelz. They don't really care about what you're doing.
    - Pretty expensive, but that's just me.

    Overall: 9/10
This card is amazing, don't get me wrong, but the issues of a certain sense of predictability, competition with Wardom for ELO and some nasty attack manipulation are strong with this one. However, if in the right hands, this card can bring some serious pain.

    I completely agree with LoA-Usoland!!

He is exactly what the GHEIST needed... I only play elo and this is an amazing addition for these guys! The manip couldn't be anymore helpful and has helped me out so much so far! Easy to bluff with and pairs well with pretty everyone. He helped me get 1406 elo so I'm not complaining about him

I like it because wardom is shaky with his damage and rolph is banned half the time. I'll give it an 8.5/10. I swear when I saw the home page I thought this was tomoe.

Koshiro...everyone who joins Gheist become weird robotically transformed killers these days :/

Koshiro isn't as good or as bad as everyone seems to be saying on here, I've heard 'He's utter shit' and 'He's the best thing since sex' and neither is true! Let's be real sex is pretty good!

There are two major reasons I actually quite like including Koshiro into my deck. The first and foremost is he has solid base stats without a single drawback (basically a first for Gheist 5*) and so can face off against the clans biggest rivals- the Roots- an actually win!!! 8 power and SOA in general is just an award winning combination and a real pain in the as, throw in 6 damage and IMO that makes him a card worth considering right there.
The second reason is because he meshes quite well with Dolly Cr, with his Ability nicely complementing her bluff playstyle! Simply having those 2 next to each other is heart throbby- Is he going to pill heaps with Dolly and then fall back on the ability or is it all just a bluff to hit hard with Koshiro? Mind games are always fun!!!

Now whilst the above is fantastic there are a few drawbacks stopping this card from being very good. The high minimum is a real drag, like I mean a really fucking big drag making it only really useful in the first couple of rounds which is actually quite off for a card like him which you really want to save for later when you're in a pinch and need to fury 8 damage him to win! Alot of the time I found myself with the ability either not mattering enough to be considered or I needed that damage more than I did the need to lose with him. This means his ability is actually probably not going to be used a good chunk of the time leading me to question.....Is an 8/6 5* card really worth slotting in my deck when there are other options??

I'm sure you're looking for an answer to that but in reality it's preference. In some decks this card nicely synergises and add's that scary 'will he pill or will he bluff' playstyle, but in others he's a complete waste of space with other 5* from other clans or even his own clan simply offering more than he does!

If you'd like an example of where he works:
    Koshiro/Dolly Cr/Leviatonn/Arkn
Is a wonderful combination of Gheist offence and Sentinel defence so give it a try if you'd like to see him in action!

I'll finish by saying don't simply judge a card off one thing without seeing where it may fit, it may actually surprise you!

His story makes him... feel like another Lin Xia...

The only difference is Ashigaru banishing Koshiro
Similar to Kinjo banishing Lin Xia

The only difference is Koshiro is similar to Ashigaru in base stats

Has the 8 PWR GHEIST needs to win rounds AND in T2 sets up combos with Wardom and MechaKolos.

Don't write him off so fast, guys.

I was hoping for a GHEIST that looks like a GHEIST, I understand he is a ex fang pi but Klawz is an ex Sentinel and at least she doesn't look like it. When I saw the homepage the only indication it was GHEIST was the little skull symbol.

The problem with this card is that, in ELO, Gheist will have no follow up to this card. The Min 5 means he pretty much must be used early, However, when he is used, no1 will actually care. Not to mention Xingshu and beck nena are insanely op right now, playing SOA and SOB clans is pretty much suicide at this point.

Koshiro is a combination of 2 fictional characters: Akuma (Gouki) of Street Fighter and Shredder of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Reference to Akuma: Akuma trained under Goutetsu to learn Ansatsuken. Akuma tried to steal a parchment from Goutetsu and was expelled.

Reference to Shredder: Oroku Saki swore revenge on the murderer of his brother. He joined the Foot Clan and becomes Shredder who does assassination for the Foot Clan.

He's the PERFECT bluff. Either your opponent takes 6 damage, or wastes pills trying to overpower him. Then, if they DO overpower him, they lose 2 pills, putting them behind you.

However, he isn't indestructible. Cancel his ability, or play against other GHEIST's, he's another 8 power card.
Regardless, he's one of GHEIST's best. A staple in a deck
