Like Yin and Yang, the clan has it dark and light side, Grasshopper... and one of its dark sides was famous during the era of the Sàng dynasty’s fighting princes. Shao Xue was a powerful sorcerer who was believed to have tried to prolong his life with strange sacrificial magic. But these are just stories told to frighten young disciples. Of course, these characters don't really exist...

The kung-fu taught at Fang Pi School was developed in the Golden Mountain Monastery and is an ancestral martial art. IDK bout the rest of you, but I get much more of David Lo Pan vibe from this card than Shang Tsung.

Defeat: Dope seems to have been overlooked as a pillz-gaining ability to be blocked from the No-Pillz Training Room, in the way that the Vortex/Riots bonuses and Smokey-like abilities are. Sure, drawing him in training is unlikely, and it's as unlikely with his 8 power that he'll lose and have his ability activated, but if you want to be a 'That Guy' then this is the card for you!

P.S- The overall rating on Shao Xue is 8.5/10, not 8/5/10 smiley

    Shao Xue review:

    Pros:

    8 power is amazing.
    Solid 5 damage for a 4-star card.
Ability of Defeat: Dope 1, Max 13, which means that this guy can give you 1 pill up to a maximum of 13 when he loses the round.
The unpredictability of this card. You win with this card, you get in his solid 5 damage (7 with the clan bonus). You lose, you gain 1 pill per round up to a great maximum of 13. This card is 2- paced, which makes him great to do mind games with the opponent.
    Artwork is awesome.
SoA doesn't hurt him at all. He's still an 8/5 (if the clan bonus is there, an 8/7).

    Cons:

4-star card, so takes a lot of space in decks.
Has competition such as Linda, Tomoe, Fei, Heitachi and Ramar in the 4-star department of the Fang Pi Clang (both Kati and Macumba are out due to their 1 less power, as well as Ryuichi because he's a 6 in power).

Overall- 8/5/10. This card is amazing. He's literally a double-edged sword. He's a very versatile card as well, giving you advantages with both victory and defeat. This card should be a staple in any Fang Pi Clang deck. This card is based on Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. Love to see a Mortal Kombat character based card in this game. How do I know that this card is based on Shang Tsung? His artwork and his bio. Both are powerful sorcerers who uses magic to prolong their lives. The artwork is similar to Shang Tsung as well. Just compare MK9 Shang Tsung with this card. You'll see what I mean.

I playing with Fang Pi and Piranes. And, I realy don`t know, why anybody need Smokey Cr or new Barden , when you just can use it on defeat or kill opponent in KO.
Second best 4 in Fang Pi for now.
And strongly overrated. The cost of it must be about 200k.

Very useful defeat card. Mix it with some other pillz control cards/clans and enjoy.
