Born in a backwater in the middle of nowhere, Gatline learnt how to shoot before she could walk. Yet, it wasn’t until she was around 18 years of age that she actually got to grips with aiming… So since then, to avoid having to be too good a shot, she prefers weapons that pretty much blow the target to smithereens.

These light-hearted, loudmouthed fighters are as nimble in their actions as they are in their wisecracks. As supporters of a strong regime, these soldiers have decided to bring society into line, starting by shaving the heads of the wimpy youth. In the long term, they’d be more than happy to take over the running of the government from those “bunch of morons”.

now this is intresting. gatline- named after the infamous gatling gun, which was invented by Dr. Richard J. Gatling in 1861- the first year of the American civil war. strange as it may be, Dr. Gatling lived in and was born is backwater hertford county, North Carolina (only a 10 minute drive from where i live) which i find intresting, since gatline's bio states she was born in a backwater in the middle of nowhere- just like Dr. Gatling. so all in all, gatline is a knockoff of the gatling gun which was invented in a backwater area, like gatline, and she enjoys blowing the crap out of what she can. just an intresting tidbit of info. rate green if you find this intresting.

Gatline - 7/5 with +8 attack (ability) and +2 Damage (bonus)

    - A nasty little 7 damage (9 with fury) that allows this beauty to 2HKO with almost everyone from La Junta
    - A nice solid power of 7. Matched with that +8 attack, and Gatline can fight her own against attack manipulators like Sakrohm, Sentinels, and Junkz. Also has a huge advantage over those without attack manipulation.
    - Think that headpiece in her final art helps with aim? smiley

    - 4 stars is kinda hard to budget
    - Uppers, Rescue, and Montana have a slight advantage over her, although not as much as other La Junta

OVerall: 8/10 - Gatline is a very solid beast. A scary 7 damage, a nice 7 power, and a handy ability. While I'd still take Bryan's SoA over the attack manipulation, Gatline is a very good card that deserves to be in your deck

    Gateline = 7/5 at last lvl, Ability - +8 atk, Bonus - Damage +2

    7 power is pretty high
    5 damage is decent
    >>can be 7 with bonus so thats deadly for 2 hit K.O
+8 atk is like giving it an extra pill
even when attacked by damage reducer still a deadly card thanks to +8
    Good bluff

4 star takes up some space in elo

Gateline is a pretty deadly card, if it goes vs Bryan its dead even and Bryan is the top 4 star dog for La Junta.
Can also be used as a Bluff is you have other strong cards in your deck, and it had pwnage artwork smiley

The next best 4 star card after Bryan.
Her 7/7 with a +8 attack makes her a beast.
Even when facing SoA her massive 7 attack allows her to still be formidable.
Her 7 damage allows her to 2HKO with most of the people in the clan.
She is also great for fighting bluff cards, with zero pills she has a 15 attack.

    Gatline....the offensive killer!!

Gatline is one of those severely underrated cards, one that is an absolute beast and is IMO invaluable for the La Junta

Let's see, she brings...solid power/solid damage and attack manip to assist her in battle....And guess what she's the only decent attk manip card in the La Junta clan :O (apart from Revenge stricken Ray)

Gatline was made for going on the offensive....defense? pfft what does that word even mean? she is an opener who draws pillz from the opp. or draws out their DR's/ crappy cards and gets in decent dmg anyway...this is actually rare for the La Junta as most of their cards are made for the 2nd or 3rd rounds to finish off the opp with a KO

Until now she has been undershadowed by the infamous Bryan....the card who i secretly despise (you can check out my Wyre review to see why) but since Wyre's release his position in the clan has deteriorated leaving Gatline as the shining saviour for the Junta

    Compared to her competition?

Gatline> Bryan for half now that Wyre is out...his once necessary SOA has been replaced smiley
Bryan=Gatline for mono though, its nice to have 2 SOA cards

Isatis> Gatline...that possible 9/8 is insane to face, and with Victoria/Nahomi in the clan her SOA pain isn't as big a threat

Gatline> more base dmg + its easier to win her fights, plus in mono that attk manip is invaluable

Gatline> the rest simply because the above mentioned are the main 3 contenders

And there we have it, in a half deck she is the 4* to use simply because Junta need that attk manip to give them an offensive card! As for mono? well she comes in as the equal 2nd 4* to turn she isn't always included

La Junta 4star list (best to worst)

    mono 1/2 deck
    1 Bryan 1 Bryan
    2 Isatis 2 Gatline
    3 Gatline 3 Burger
    4 Chiro 4 Gertrud
    5 Burger 5 Dacote
    6 Gertrud 6 Chiro
    7 Dacote 7 Isatis
    8 Winifred 8 Winifred

You will notice that i put Gatline in the top 3 in both cases. In mono la junta, the objective is simple; make them commit pills then beat face. This makes a card with high power like isatis indespensible (and gertrud and dacote less useful), however i would have no problem trading her out for gatline in an SOA heavy environment. some people like chiro, but there is so much damage in la junta, the extra chiro provides is negligable and gatline beats her pill for pill up to 7 (8 is the tie). In a la junta 1/2 deck is where gatline really shines. she's a raw 7/5 so SOA is not that bad for her (she is often at least even in power against 3 stars in SOA clans with a much higher damage threat). she has attack manipulation that puts you even with sakrohm and sentinels and she has high enough damage to 2hko with many characters from other clans. Here's the best part about gatline... the bluff. i love 1-2 pilling gatline turn 1. often, your opponent will either go way over the top and give you pill advantage leading to many 2hko possibilities or you just hit with 7(or a reduced damage, either way it was cheap).

Outside of Bryan, gatline is the most versitile 4star in la junta. she is always useful. I even run a deck with no 5stars just so I can run gatline, isatis and bryan.

    Dagg's Reconnaissance Report

    Report Number# 6a+1n3; Specimen ID: 237

Reporting for duty, sir Dregn. Tonight, my report delves into one of La Junta's top threats, Gatline.

While scouting out the Junta base (and dodging a few of Thormund's booby traps, along with the occasional misfired Emeth rocket), I managed to infiltrate the Mess Hall, where those gun-addicted warfreaks were having a nice conversation about #237's past.

"Another round please, Molly! I think Gatline's finally going to spill the beans about her past!" says a redheaded muscular specimens with some resemblance to a hippie from thousands of years ago.

"Not a chance, Bryan. Not everyone is as open to their beginnings as you are, Mr. Green Beret." replies our specimen.

As you may well know, this sort of conversation continues for hours until the specimens have sufficiently consumed enough alcoholic beverages to reach a certain state. In this case, Gatline is sufficiently intoxicated and can quite easily be assumed to be telling the truth.

"So, you know that part in my resume about learning how to shoot since I was 2 years old? The truth behind that is because *sniffle*, my father started to say he was going to kill my favorite chicken for some meat, and I didn't mean to do this but *sniffle*, at the night of the slaughter, I picked up my dad's homemade automatic rifle and shot like a madman. The results had a severe emotional impact on me, and... I ended up killing my chicken and putting my dad into a severe coma. He still hasn't recovered."

"I see, I see" says the hippie. "So what was your life like after that incident?"

"Well, even after I shot my father, the gun still had a profound impact on me and I decided it was all I wanted to do for my entire life. And although I try to control my shots and actually hit a target, I only end up getting frustrated and start shooting faster, without conscience." says #237.

Although #237 cannot decipher the hippie's whispers, I have made out this simple sentence.

"General Cr sure was lucky he decided to stay in the back to help out the new recruits last week."

In general, #237 is a foe not to be underestimated, and is clearly a top threat to our C-Army. In order to counter this, I suggest we use a psychological advantage exploiting her emotional weaknesses.

    Your loyal elite forces' head,

P.S. We could show her Deea's face as a last resort.

Underrated and overlooked, but she is really a star in any half-deck with La Junta, because you can use her to deal damage, or just get your opponent to pill. She is used perfectly in this deck: Guerrilla Dreams

I cant believe no one has pointed out that her level 4 art work is a nod to Private Vasquez in the Aliens movie.

    Check it out:

Heck she even has the smart-gun from the movie, fits her bio perfect what with being a auto aiming machine gun.
