Albatrosses fly over the pirate ships, free as the wind. Some of the more suspicious Piranas believe they are bringers of bad luck but Coleridge has been studying them for a long time and has finally managed to create a flying machine that works in almost the same way as them, except it uses up a lot more charcoal.

After scouring the oceans of the globe for many a long year, Captain Bloodh's Piranas have finally cast anchor in town – time to stretch their legs out a bit and let their hair down! Noisy, aggressive and thieving (well, they are pirates after all), they’ve been quick to make enemies, and the odd friend. But all in all, they’re having such a good time, they’re in no hurry to head back to sea.

okay, everyone is talking about SOA, so, um, which SOA are we talking about?
lol, the piranas bonus rids the worry of facing roots and gheist, so the only thing left are your folks who's ability are SOA.

    what does that mean?

it means you'll know when to play him.
as you would using anyone with power manipulation
or simply anyone with an ability that is weak vs SOA

I actual play a piranas ELO, as well as T2 deck.
sure, I'm not gonna be using this guy in either deck as both serve as pill manipulation and don't need him,
but consider him as useful as switching out for katan [for damage of course] and tide [in T2] or even Sliman [maybe]

afterall, 8 power is something to be reckoned with, and the SOB pretty much grants 8 power a possibility.

I'm not saying this guy doesn't have flaws, or that I love him. I'm just saying, I was tired of seeing SOA will kill him, yada yada yada

SOA kills a lot of people, but as a Bonus, SOA rapes, leaving the cards to have abilities on top of the power to stop yours. as an ability, SOA means you're reliant of the support of your bonus to draw advantage.

in the end, it all boils down to who out pilled who, and who played more strategically, as well as who lucked out in the end.

This is undisputably the most underpriced card in the game, a 2HKO god.

Damage is not only about THKO's guys... Coleridge is what any respectable elo mono piranas deck needs, because you NEED to get those heavy hitters through, because you NEED to do damage to win. Many are boosting that piranas are all about pill manipulation, well what good will it do when you'll have 12 pills and your opponent 0, when you won't have the cards to deal damage, to catch up to him? Yeah, soa kills him, but sob means that you usually won't be facing more than one soa, if at all, so why people are complaining about 8/6 4* and why he's only 300 Clintz mystifies me O.o

P.S. low base power can actually work to your advantage, f.e. Randy is considered quite staple in all stars decks, just think about what Coleridge would do to him smiley

8.25/10 all around great card, if you're playing mono piranas definitely use him

    Captain Bloodh's Diary:
Coleridge: The Deluded BirdMan (nanananana Birdman!)

Coleridge, Coleridge, Coleridge... what can I do with you?
I mean, when you joined the ship I thought you would be able to replace Hawkins as our deckhand, and maybe take that weird Christmas costume away from him.
    But NO!
You spent the whole time ogling the albatrosses. It eventually got to such a level that you tamed 2 and let them live in your room!
    And now your machine!
We pirates aren't supposed to fly! That's the job for our cannonballs!
Mark my words, a flying pirate is unnatural. We belong on the sea in our ships and boats. That's where our specialty lies. No one can get away with flying. And why do you think your weird mechanism won't crash? I mean, yeah, you've got the Piranas emblem on it, but from a distance it looks like our flag tore off its pole.
I hope Mayhem, Smokey and Sting won't hit your contraption (although I would be happy if they did, to get the dreams of flying out off your head once and for all).

I don't think that your mother, Rhed, would agree, but then again, I'm THE CAPTAIN.
So if you try to talk Tula into drilling through enemy boats with your contraption, I swear upon my honour that I will stab you in the eyes.
Doesn't that make birds lose all sense of depth perception and crash into trees? smiley

Did you like this diary entry? Rate green if yes, rate green if no. Rate red if you don't know what green is.
If you really like the card, get it! Why not? Piranas are an amazing clan, after all!

Better version of Talijon and Puff?

I think so, this card is perfect for any Mono piranas. One of the few potential 8 POW.

I don't understand a lot of the lower ratings on him. Pirana's desperately needed a 6 damage card and how many other 8/6 4* are out there that have this kind of protection? Ok, I know you have to play him in a mono deck which makes him not versatile but, there are a lot of cards designed to played with just their clan. However, he does have his flaws.

    Pros:
Potential 8 power in a mono deck
Damage: 6 (which is stable for a 2-hit combo threat)
Clan bonus to help protect his ability

    Cons:
Against an SoA card he is flat out useless
Doesn't play well with a lot of the clans cards
Not very versatile in many formats but T2

The thing that hurts him the most is, Pirana's don't have a lot of high damage cards to go a long with is 6 damage. Even a lot of their other 4 and 5 star cards have less then 6 damage besides Bloodh, Pesth, Selma, Ahkab, Sliman, Mahem, and Deadeye. The reason why I listed all of the cards is, not many of these fit well with Coleridge. Selma and Ahkab are solid cards but, they are about pill manipulation which doesn't fit him. The rest are just average to below average high * cards. He can work well with Pesth for example but, then the poison factor of Pesth is useless if you try for the 2-hit combo. The only real use for him is a T2 format but, in my experience, a mono Pirana T2 deck is not really that good due to their lack of high power or high damage cards. Still, a potential 8/6 4* card with some protection is not that bad. The hard part is, finding use for him. If UR gives Pirana's some more higher power and damage cards then his value will go up.

    7.5/10
