Most life-guards like it when nothing much is happening on the beach. That way, they can spend their days lazing in the sun, chatting up girls in bikinis. But Douglas is a man of action, which fortunately for him is amply catered for on the beaches of Clint City. They’re a little lacking in Tsunamis but more than make up for it with good old-fashioned brawls!

Global warming has a devastating effect on the best spots: snow has become a rare commodity and waves are so violent they can't be surfed... And so the fight begins to urge the government to take into account environmental considerations or, at the very least, to build more skate-parks...

Douglas - 7/4 with Protection: Bonus (ability) and +2 Power (bonus)

    - Potential 9 power is very nice for a 3*.
    - This power is generally protected thanks to his protection: bonus. Douglas is very strong against Piranas, and especially Nightmare, who generally have lower powers.
    - 4 damage is decent for a 3*.
    - Douglas is a very solid card against many threats. SoB? 9/4. SoA? 9/4.

    - A LOT of competition in the 3* Ulu Watu department
    - His ability will actually not come into effect most games, thus making his basically a 9/4 with no ability (nothing wrong with that, of course)
    - Like many cards in the world, Douglas does not like fighting damage reduction.

Overall: 7/10. Douglas is one of the most solid cheap 3* for beginner players. He is just a tad weaker than Nanook and really gets newer players the feel of the Ulu Watu. He is without a doubt playable, with few glaring flaws, and may even be the 3* of choice during Nightmare and Piranas heavy ELO-weeks

That said, as you get more clintz, you will probably want to upgrade Douglas into Nanook or Gaia, who have a little more going for them when there is no SoB around.

Still, Douglas is a wonderful beginner card, and has potential in "higher-level" play as well. He just isn't the best 3* around.

Nice card: 3* 7/4 Protection Bonus which is Power + 2

    Quick review:
-can be a 1 star filler
-Protection bonus can make this card situationally stronger than the legendary 3 start Ulu queen: Nanook, thats saying something
-Solid stats, anyways plus power plus 2 is always welcome
-Did i mention that 4 damage is better than most Ulu Watu cards?
-Nice wall, epecially against cards like dahlia

-Competion,Kirk is used alot and Nanook, flecia is maybe better too
-Protection bonus isnt activated all the time and does nothing usually
    -Dr, i geuss

Overall 7.5/10 average card, definately your 3rd or 4th choice, and a replacement for many ulu 3 stars.

    I really like Douglas.
Great art, great damage for a UW 3-Star, and great stability. Having him in my deck in place of Gaia has actually made me like playing UW.

Very good replacement for Gaia at higher level ELO with all the Piranhas and Nightmare decks.

Bullarky! Mac Hen > Douglas + Tanevera + Wee lee + Serena + Kiki Cr + Dj korr cr
Duh, everybody knows that Mac Hen is the best UR card but since he's so OP its an understood rule that he is to never be used aside from in fight club. It really only out of pity for the weaker players who can't afford him that we as good UR citizens don't utilize him like he deserves.

Douglas is like a cheaper version of nanook. I think that he's very solid.

Douglas is good in a high pill round, but Gaia works well in a low or no pill round. They're both cool.

This could replace a bunch of 3 stars in the ulu watu clan, the only obvious exception is clearly nanook, but that 4 damage and his ability to keep stable power most of the time no matter how bad it gets makes him an unsung hero for certain players. But of course there is reef and i dont think people have become so disillusioned with reef that they would never use him.

But still, douglas is going to be alright.

I have to disagree with Slify, Piranas and Nightmare are always a big threat, especially in ELO. This is why I think Douglas is better than Gaia.

I honestly don't understand why people are paying 2000 clintz to Gaia instead of getting Douglas for 180 clintz. I would prefer Douglas protection bonus to Gaia's pathetic -3 attack reduction. It's better against Piranas and Nightmares
